Kanchi Kamakoti Monastery
Kanchi Math is a Hindu monastery established in Kanchipuram. It is one of the five Panchabhootashalas. The abbot here is called Shankaracharya. It was established by Adi Shankaracharya. Today it is one of the important religious places of South India. Its Shankaracharya till now was Sri Jayendra Saraswati. Now after his death, Vijendra Saraswati will be its 70th Shankaracharya.
