Govardhan Math
It is located in the eastern part of India at Jagannath Puri in the state of Odisha. The adjective ‘Aranya’ sect is applied after the name of the sannyasins who have received initiation under the Govardhan Math. The first abbot of this monastery was Padmapada, the first disciple of Adi Shankaracharya.
