This year Anant Chaturdashi is on 17th September. It is also known as Anant Chaudas. According to Panchag dates the Chaturdashi date will start from 3:10 pm on September 16, while the Chaturdashi Tithi Ends on 11:44 am on September 17.On this day, the Anant forms of Lord Vishnu are worshiped. On this day, Anant Sutra yellow thread is tied, which has fourteen knots. Anant Chaturdashi 2024: Worship Method
- Get up early in the morning and take a bath on this day.
- After taking a bath, light a lamp in the temple at home.
- Anoint the deities with Gangajal.
- If possible, keep a fast on this day.
- In Ganesh Puja, the symbol of Ganesha is first made, i.e. Swastika. Ganesha is the first worshipped deity, hence there is a tradition of making Swastika at the beginning of worship.
- Offer flowers to Lord Ganesha.
- Also offer Durva grass to Lord Ganesha. According to religious beliefs, offering Durva grass pleases Lord Ganesha.
- Apply vermilion to Lord Ganesha.
- Meditate on Lord Ganesha.
- Offer flowers and Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu.
- Also offer food to Ganesha and Lord Vishnu. You can also offer Modaks or Laddus to Ganesha. Take special care that only Satvik things are offered to God.
Devotees must take a special note that they must include Tulsi in the offering to Lord Vishnu, as it is believed that Lord Vishnu does not accept offerings without Tulsi.
Additionally, on this holy day, devotees may worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu. Meditate on God as much as possible on this day.
