Know the sacred reason, why women should not do Dandwat Pranam

 
Dandavat Pranam is considered to be the best of all types, but do you know that in our scriptures there is a complete prohibition of worshiping women.  According to the scriptures, women should never bow down in front of anyone.  Now-a-days it is seen in many places that women also offer prostration in temples, places of worship and circumambulation etc., which is inappropriate according to the scriptures.  We get the solution of why this is so in a book called 'Dharmasindhu', in which there is a clear instruction-
 
Brahmanasya Gudam Shankha  Shaligramam Cha Pustakam.
Vasundhara na sahite Kamini Kuch Mardan.
 
That is, if the back part of the Brahmins, the conch shell, the Shaligram, the scriptures (book) and the breast (breast) of the women directly touch the ground (without a seat), then the earth cannot bear this load.  Having to bear this unbearable load, she abducts her Shree (Asht-Lakshmis) from the one who put this burden.
