Cow:

Lord Krishna was a Gopalak. Cow is his favorite animal. Due to them, Gopadvam fast, Govatsa Dwadashi fast, Gopashtami etc. fasts and festivals are celebrated. Lord Krishna had laid a new foundation for cow worship and construction of cowsheds to increase the importance of cow. Lord Balakrishna started the work of grazing cows from Gopashtami. According to Hindu religion, 33 categories of deities reside in the cow.
