Omkareshwar Temple is the fourth sacred temple among the twelve major worship places of Shiva. It is located near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The Narmada River flows here. It is believed that Lord Shiva is sitting on the Omkar mountain in the middle of this river. Mythology also says Omkareshwar is the place where Lord Shiva comes to sleep. It is believed that Lord comes here to sleep after visiting all three worlds. Mother Parvati also resides here along with Lord Shiva.
