Vinayak Chaturthi Vrat is of great importance and is considered very auspicious and scared in the astrology too.The Festival is observed every month during the Shukla Paksha tithi. On such an occasion, devotees keep a day long fast in the name of Lord Ganesh and worship him according to specific rituals and method.

Vinayak Chaturthi October 2024: Auspicious Time 

• The upcoming, Vinayak Chaturthi in the month of October 2024 will be observed on 6th (Sunday).
• The auspicious time for the Festival will be observed from 10:58 AM to 1:19 PM. 
• Also note that, the Shukla Chaturthi of the Ashwina month starts from 7:49 AM on October 6 and will end at 9:47 AM on October 7. 

 

Vinayaka Chaturthi: Puja Rules

• Devotees must wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
• Place the idol of Lord Ganesha and light a lamp (diya) of desi ghee in front of him.
• Offer Ganesh ji (Bappa) a garland (mala) of yellow flowers, durva grass and boondi laddus or even modaks.
• Recite the mantras and chalisa of Lord Ganesha.
• Finally, conclude the puja with aarti.
• The fasting devotees should break their fast with prasad after offering arghya to the moon in the evening.
