According to astrology, Pitru Paksha is a period starting from the full moon day of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) in the month of Bhadrapada and ending on the new moon day (Amavasya). This year, Pitru Paksha begins on September 17, 2024, and ends on October 2, 2024, on the day of Sarv Pitru Amavasya. This sacred period is a time to remember and pay homage to our ancestors. Where to Place Pictures of Ancestors:

It’s common to have pictures of our ancestors in our homes. This is a beautiful tradition, but it's important to place these pictures in the right location. According to Vastu, placing pictures of ancestors in the south direction is considered most auspicious. Also, avoid placing these pictures in areas where people frequently pass by.
