Margashirsha is the ninth month of Hindi. It is also known as Aghan. In Hinduism, Margashirsha (Aghan) is considered special and holy, because from this month Satya Yuga started. Aghan has started from 20th November. Aghan (Margashirsha) is also dear to Lord Krishna.

Aghan has started from 20th November. Aghan (Margashirsha) is also dear to Lord Krishna. This is what Lord Krishna has said in the Gita as well. It is also believed that Sage Kashyap founded Kashmir in this month. It is a religious belief that worship of Shri Krishna is very good in this month. Avoid condemning others
One should avoid condemning any human being during Margashirsha (Aghan). Along with this, hearing the condemnation of others is also considered bad. If for some reason you have to hear or criticize others, remember your favor by saying 'Om Damodaray Namah' in your mind.
 
Silver donation
Donation has special significance in the month of Aghan. The use of silver as a donation is considered very auspicious. It is believed that by donating silver the weakness of the body is removed. Apart from this, one also gets freedom from sexual problems. Whereas by donating food, the disorders of the eyes are removed. At the same time, the wish of the mind is fulfilled.

One time meal and donation
According to the scriptures, a person should eat only once a day during the fire. Along with this, Brahmins should be fed food according to their capacity and which should be donated as much as possible. It is believed that the person who does this becomes free from many types of sins.
