Therefore, Kaal Bhairav Jayanti will be celebrated on 12 November 2025. In the Sanatan Dharm, Kaal Bhairav is worshipped as the fierce form of Lord Shiva.
Kaal Bhairav Story
Once an argument occurred between Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva that who is the superior God in the world. In this argument, Lord Shiva felt insulted by Lord Brahma, and then Kaal Bhairav originated from the anger and fierce form. In his anger, he destroyed the fifth head of Lord Brahma, which led to the sin of Brahman hatya. For the prevention of this sin, Kaal Bhairav searched the three worlds and reached Kashi. According to the beliefs, Kaal Bhairav was asked to perform penance at Kashi to get free from this sin.
