Hartalika Teej fast is observed on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. This year Hartalika Teej fast is being observed on 6th September. On this day, married women observe Nirjala fast for the long life and happiness of their husbands. Along with this, unmarried girls observe this fast to get their desired groom. Hartalika Teej is starting from 5th September (12:21 PM) and ending on 6th September (3:01 Pm).In such a situation, Hartalika Teej is worshipped on this day in the morning, Pradosh period and then in all the four quarters of the night. Hartalika Teej Rules: Do these things on Hartalika Teej
- On the day of Hartalika Teej, married women eat Sargi in the morning. It contains water, fruits, nuts etc. Do consume it in the morning, so that you remain full of energy throughout the day, because the whole day will be Nirjala fast.
- On this day, married women should wear green clothes. This color is considered very auspicious. Apart from this, if you want, you can wear red clothes.
- Married women should do sixteen adornments and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in a proper manner.
Hartalika Teej: Don'ts
- One should avoid any kind of anger on the day of Hartalika Teej.
- It is believed that the woman who has kept the fast should not consume any kind of food or water. Sleeping is prohibited at night on Hartalika Teej. Therefore, women stay awake all night.
- It is said that milk should not be consumed at all on this day. It is believed that by doing this, one gets the snake vagina in the next birth.
- One should not insult the elders on the day of Hartalika Teej. Rather, their blessings should be taken.
- After doing the puja on the day of Hartalika Teej, one must definitely read the fast story. Only then your worship is complete.
- One should avoid consuming meat and alcohol on the day of Hartalika Teej. Along with this, family members should eat satvik food.
