The festival of Govardhan Puja is celebrated on the very next day of Diwali. Govardhan Puja is an important festival dedicated to nature and is also known as Annakoot. Let us tell you that Govardhan Puja is performed on the Pratipada date of Kartik Shukla Paksha and this year Govardhan Puja is being celebrated on 2 November. Goverdhan Puja Auspicious Time (Goverdhan Puja Shubh Muhurat 2024)

According to the Hindu calendar, this year the festival of Govardhan Puja will be celebrated on November 2, 2024. The festival of Govardhan Puja is celebrated on the day of Pratipada of Kartik Krishna Paksha and Pratipada Tithi will start at 6.16 pm on November 1 and end at 8.21 pm on November 2. Based on Udayatithi, the festival of Govardhan Puja will be celebrated on November 2. The first auspicious time of Govardhan Puja will be from 5:34 am to 8:46 am on November 2. In this Muhurta, devotees will have about 3 hours to worship. The second auspicious time will be from 3:23 pm to 5:35 pm.

Govardhan Puja  Vidhi

In Govardhan Puja, along with Lord Shri Krishna, nature is also worshiped. Let us tell you that on this day, after taking a bath, etc., a small Govardhan mountain and an idol of Lord Shri Krishna are made from cow dung. This idol is decorated with flowers and colorful clothes. After this, Lord Shri Krishna and Govardhan Mountain are worshiped methodically.

Water, lamps, incense, fruits, flowers, and other gifts are offered to the Lord in the puja. After this, Kadhi and Kannakut rice are offered.

On the day of Govardhan Puja, cow, bull, and Lord Vishwakarma are also worshipped.

After the puja, the Govardhan mountain is circumambulated seven times. While circumambulating, mantras are chanted with water in hand.

Finally, the puja is concluded by performing Aarti.

On the day of Govardhan Puja, people make various types of dishes in their homes and offer them to God. On this day, people distribute sweets to each other and celebrate. The festival of Govardhan Puja gives the message of unity and brotherhood to the people.
