A legend tells of Adasa, when Ravana's son Indrajit killed Lakshmana during the war between Rama and Ravana. Hanuman then had to fly to Mount Mandar to fetch a medicinal plant. Hanuman lifted the mountain when the herbs were confused. On the way back a large portion of it fell, which is said to have been tragic.

Located on the banks of the Karha River in Morgaon, this north-facing temple is surrounded by a protective wall. The temple is built similar to the Varkarni Muslim Mosque to prevent the Mughal army from attacking the temples. There is a huge idol of Nandi and a large stone rat in front of this temple. This is the only temple in the Ashtavinayakas that has Nandi in front of Ganapati.
