Ekadashi is considered an auspicious day that is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which is celebrated twice a month. Ekadashi means 11 and falls on the 11th day of the Shukla Paksha and the Krishna Paksha in every month.
Devuthani Ekadashi comes every year on the 11th day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik. On this day, Lord Vishnu awakens from his sleep (Yoganidra) after four months, which marks the end of Chaturmas. During Chaturmas, events like weddings, engagements or other auspicious events are avoided. This day marks the end of Chaturmas, and auspicious events like weddings or engagements also take place.
On this day, devotees observe a fast and worship to receive blessings from LOrd Vishnu and get free from all sins and past mistakes. Worshipping Lord Vishnu with devotion and dedication is believed to bring spiritual purification, reduce negative, and any work that has been stuck gets completed.

According to the panchang, the Ekadashi tithi starts from 1st November at 09:11 AM and ends on 2nd November at 07:31 2025. Therefore, Devuthani Ekadashi will be celebrated on 1st November 2025. The Parna timing (breaking fast) is from 01:11 PM to 03:23 PM on 2nd November 2025.
